Developed the program-wide style guide and document templates to be used on the program. Ensured program documents and reports are edited, formatted, finalized as program deliverables, and archived in numerous databases.

On a contract basis to Northrop Grumman, supported the production and maintenance of documentation and formal correspondence associated with Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) programs and individual projects. Ensured program documents and reports are authorized, edited, formatted, and finalized according to accepted writing standards and style guides as mandated by Knowledge Management competency guidance. Ensured program documents followed the Knowledge Management Document Development and Control Process for Integrated Pay and Personnel Systems - Army (IPPS-A), New Order Writing (NOW), and all other projects as appropriate. Scheduled and hosted technical reviews of deliverable products, and ensured required document deliverables were signed, published, and delivered to the customer on time and in accordance with contract requirements.

On a contract basis, worked as the project lead for technical editing to support a staff of 40-plus computer system design engineers and system architects with the SSC. Responsibilities included writing, formatting, and editing Department of Defense contract deliverable documents; scheduling multiple peer reviews for each document; hosting and moderating each review; collecting, disseminating, incorporating, and archiving comment logs; revising documents; acquiring appropriate signatures for document acceptance and delivery to the customer; and archiving documents in a repository using a specified tool.

Determined departmental style, format, and procedures for company publications through a management and operating contract with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Wrote and edited corporate policy, implementation instructions, technical manuals, publications, operating procedures, and software and other company documentation. Closely interacted with graphic designers to include review of preliminary layouts of artwork for all publications. Because of education and experience in television video production, also assisted the video department in scripting, shooting, and editing corporate/industrial videos.

Researched, organized, wrote, and edited technical user guides and all other documentation for computer systems for the Commander, Naval Reserve Force (COMNAVRESFOR) through a contract with the U.S. Department of Defense. Duties consisted of learning the designated computer systems from the user, programmer, and management view, and preparing manuals for each.
