This online gallery contains images representing Mr. Smith's commercial, documentary, fine art, and editorial/photojournalism photography. His photos attempt to capture the mood as well as the sociology and societal implications of events and subjects. Select works have been displayed in galleries and have appeared in numerous print and online publications such as Louisiana Film and Video Magazine, Cat Fancy, Arthur Hardy's Mardi Gras Guide, and others. He has served as gallery photo exhibit curator as well as photo competition juror, and has served on the board of directors for the New Orleans/Gulf South chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers. He also is a member of the National Press Photographers Association, the Photographic Society of America, the New Orleans Photo Alliance, and the Greater New Orleans Photographic Society. He teaches photography and is author of Through the Lens—A Field Guide to Digital Photography.
